WENATCHEE, Wash. – Wenatchee school district mourns loss of three Lincoln Elementary students who were found dead on Monday.

The three girls went missing on Friday May, 20 after they were last seen with their father during a planned visitation. They were found by dead on Monday by the Wenatchee Police Department.

The Wenatchee School District is addressing the loss with families and staff in a message released to the community.

"I'm writing to you today with a heavy heart regarding an incredibly difficult situation at Lincoln Elementary School. Today, law enforcement announced the tragic passing of three of our Lincoln students. The incident involving the students who have passed did not occur at school," said superintendent Kory Kalahar.
