ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) — The Trump administration quietly scrubbed a controversial list of "sanctuary jurisdictions" from its website Sunday after widespread criticism about errors. New York State, 14 counties, and 11 cities had appeared on the list published Thursday by the Department of Homeland Security.
New York's entire state government made the list, along with Albany, Dutchess, Monroe, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Saratoga, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, Westchester, and Yates Counties. The cities listed included Albany, Beacon, East Hampton, Hudson, Ithaca, Kingston, New Paltz, New York City, Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, and Syracuse.
