Roughly nine months after the two-time Grammy Award winner released her chart-topping sixth studio album Short N’ Sweet , Carpenter is back for more. She announced her latest single, “Manchild,” on Tuesday, after teasing new music online a day earlier with a short clip of herself standing on the side of the desert attempting to hitchhike.
