NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Applying to college is the first big step into adulthood for many teenagers, and part of that step is figuring out how they're going to pay for college. For many, scholarships are a key component of their financial aid. Some bad actors, however, use this as an opportunity to try and scam people. Josiah Rauser with the Bank of North Dakota talks about how to avoid scholarship scams as you apply to colleges and decide where you want to go.
