SIOUX FALLS — The Dakota Valley girls' track and field team had a pair of state champions over the weekend in senior Sophia Redler and junior Claire Munch.
The DV boys also produced a state champ in senior Jack Brown.
Both Redler and Munch won their titles on the middle day of the three-day meet at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
The DV girls ended in fourth place in Class A as a team with 61 points scored. Elk Point-Jefferson's girls squad was fifth in Class A with 50 points and Vermillion tallied one team point.
Sioux Falls Christian won both team titles.
The SFC girls' team tallied 162 points to easily beat runner-up Custer (90) for the top spot. Lennox was third at 85.
In Class A on the boys' side, Dakota Valley eighth (31), EP-J was 21st (10) and Vermillion was 25th (seven). S
