SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Area high schoolers are on campus at Angelo State University to learn about careers in nursing.

On June 3, one of Shannon's Air-Med helicopters landed on campus as part of the nurse camp activities. On June 4, students in the ASU Nursing Camp will watch firefighters and paramedics respond to a mock vehicle accident.

"They learn they learn fast pace trauma like the pediatrics CPR AED," said Regan Murphy, ASU Pre-Nursing and Events Coordinator. "They also get a stop the bleed certification as well, and then signs of stroke, signs of seizures."

This camp is designed for students to connect with ASU nursing faculty, staff, and students.
