Linn-Mar makes program history, Xavier dominates, and more from the state girls soccer quarterfinals

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Linn-Mar showed out as Eastern Iowa’s lone representative in the 3A girls state soccer bracket, trouncing No. 2 seed West Des Moines Valley 3-0.

Abi Roberts was Linn-Mar’s star, scoring two goals.

Elsewhere, in 2A, Xavier took down Bondurant-Farrar 10-0, Waverly-Shell Rock raced past Indianola 5-1, and Independence fell to ADM 2-1.

In 1A action, Denver hammered Underwood 5-3, Hudson took down Des Moines Christian 5-2, while Center Point-Urbana came up short of Sioux City Heelan 3-0.
