Three area golfers and an area team grabbed opening-day leads in their respective South Dakota state high school golf tournaments on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Sophomore Brynn Roehrich of Clark-Willow Lake rallied on the back nine to grab a one-shot lead after the first 18 holes of play in the state Class B girls tournament at the Prairie Winds Golf Club in Watertown.

Aberdeen golfers grabbed individual leads in both the Class AA and A girls tournaments at Sioux Falls and Madison, respectively.

Junior Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central grabbed a six-shot lead in the AA tournament at the Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, and junior Claire Crawford of Aberdeen Roncalli built a four-shot lead in the A tournament at the Madison Country Club.
