Southeastern services have been stopped on a key Kent line this morning (Wednesday, June 4) after a person was hit by a train. The rail operator confirmed shortly after 7.30am that emergency services were responding to an incident on the track between Ramsgate and Canterbury .

It has since been confirmed that a person was struck by a train between the two stations. While the emergency response continues, no trains can run between Ramsgate and Ashford via Canterbury West.

Services are facing delays and cancellation as a result. Southeastern has confirmed that some services will be diverted via Dover while the disruption continues.
