Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are starting their Wednesday with a taste of summer, as clear skies and mild temperatures set the tone for a warm and pleasant day ahead.

As of 4:30 a.m., the temperature in downtown Newark hovered around 64 degrees with calm conditions—perfect for an early morning walk or a quiet start to the day.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high near 87 degrees, with sunny skies and slightly elevated humidity levels giving the region a true mid-summer feel.
