The Galloway Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System will close starting June 16 to allow for the installation of a new, $2.5 million HVAC system.

The branch is expected to reopen in the fall, county officials said Tuesday in a news release.

Those looking to return books can still use the book drop box outside the building during the closure, the county said.

Meanwhile, a new elevator will be installed at the Mays Landing library branch starting June 16. The branch will remain open during the work, the county said.

“Our libraries are key components of our communities,” County Executive Dennis Levinson said. “This is the fourth such project to improve the environment for our patrons and help us achieve greater energy and cost savings.”
