COLUMBUS, Ind. – According to an anonymous source, the Diesel Workers Union (DWU) will conduct a strike vote on Thursday and Friday following negotiations with Cummins.

In a letter that was posted to social media, the DWU Bargaining Committee reported the following:

“The DWU Bargaining Committee met with the Company from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, in an effort to continue negotiations. The Company did not give an offer/proposal to present to the membership for a vote.

We will conduct an authorization to strike vote at the DWU Union Hall from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6. THERE ARE NO ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
