Two people were shot and a man is in custody following gunfire Tuesday evening in Palmer Township, published reports state.

A Northampton County 911 dispatch supervisor told lehighvalleylive.com the incident began shortly before 7 p.m. at the Highlands at Glenmoor , in the first block of Glasgow Way. The Highlands is an upscale age 55+ community with 251 single-family and attached homes.

Officers were called to some type of disturbance at a home, the supervisor said. The Northampton County Coroner was then called to the scene. The coroner’s office only responds to death investigations.
