Seattle — At 1:09 a.m., the Seattle Fire Department’s Fire Alarm Center received 911 calls reporting a fire involving a tree and a two-story residence in the 3800 block of Sunnyside Ave. N. in the Wallingford neighborhood. Engine 9 was the first unit on scene and reported an active fire at the front of the home with electrical wires down on the north side. They worked quickly to put water on the fire, knocking down a significant portion of the exterior fire. Preventing flames from extending to neighboring homes.

Crews from Ladder 9 made entry through a backdoor and found an adult female on the ground within a few feet from the doorway. They rescued the occupant from the burning home and transitioned patient care to other firefighters. The patient was transported to Harborview Medical Cent
