(Seguin) — The Seguin River Monsters fell to the Victoria Generals, 12-6 in their home opener at Smokey Joe Williams Field on Tuesday night.

The Generals turned a one-run lead to seven with six runs in the top of the 5th to take a 9-2 lead and cruise from there. Micah Kendrick had two hits and scored a run for the River Monsters in the loss.

The Monsters and Generals will finish up their two-game series this evening at Smokey Joe. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. Seguin will be in Louisiana tomorrow and Friday to face the Acadiana Cane Cutters and then they’ll be back in Seguin on Saturday and Sunday to host the Baton Rouge Rougarou.

It’s the Seguin River Monsters home opener! The Monsters are hosting defending TCL champion Victoria tonight at Smokey Joe!
