West Point native and former Troup County High School and West Point High School coach Charles Flowers was elected into the Georgia Athletics Coaches Association Hall of Fame on May 31, 2025.

Flowers first began his coaching and teaching career at West Point High School in 1983. Flowers was the final head coach of the West Point football team before the school consolidated with Troup. The Red Devils went 2-8 in 1984, his first year in charge of the program, before turning it around the following year with a record of 6-5 and a playoff appearance.
