Manitoba remains under a provincial state of emergency as wildfires continue to spread across multiple regions, prompting evacuation orders and closures in dozens of communities and parks. Officials say most of the province is now facing extreme fire danger, with human activity continuing to play a significant role in sparking new fires.

As of June 2, the Manitoba Wildfire Service is responding to 27 active wildfires across the province. A total of 111 fires have been recorded so far in 2025 — well above the seasonal average of 88.
