WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 37-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she was involved in an "intentional" hit-and-run that killed a woman in Winston-Salem on Monday.

Officers responded around 1:14 p.m. on Monday to Burgandy Street following reports of a hit-and-run involving injuries. They found 53-year-old Tammy Denise Long with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died, police said.

Moses Renee Arnold has been charged with felony murder. She was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities believe the crash was intentional. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, Arnold and Long were acquaintances.
