PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Kent last weekend.

Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski said on May 31 a deputy pulled over Michael Lewis on Mogadore Road for equipment and registration violations.

According to the sheriff “indicators of criminal activity were then observed,” and the deputy and K9 Hulk conducted a search.

When Lewis got out of his vehicle, the sheriff said he admitted to having “a lot” of cocaine in the vehicle, but his pistol was at home.

Besides two loaded Glock pistol magazines, the sheriff said the deputy also found:

A digital scale with cocaine residue

A bindle of cocaine

One baggie with about 24 grams of cocaine

16 individually packaged baggies of cocaine totaling 58 grams
