HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) -- A photo of a West Virginia State Trooper praying with a homeless man and giving him food went viral last night and has been shared thousands of times within just a few hours of it being posted on social media.

Heather Rene Vance of Ashland shot the viral photo of West Virginia State Trooper Thomas Ellis down on one knee praying for the man in the wheelchair who Trooper Ellis had just brought food. The photo has been shared almost 3,000 times in only 18 hours since it was posted on Facebook.

"I watched the officer get out of his car with the food and Bible in hand and walked over to the gentleman," Vance told 13 News in an exclusive interview. "I was coming off 64, off exit 15, came down to the intersection and saw the cop get out of his car with his lights on. I
