EAGLE, Idaho — The Eagle Police Department had to close West Floating Feather/Highway 55 in Eagle on June 3, due to a fatal crash.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 55 and W. Floating Feather. According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that a BMW RR motorcycle was going south on Highway 55 when a red 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup turned onto W. Floating Feather, colliding with the bike in the intersection.

The motorcycle driver was a 32-year-old man who died from his injuries at the scene. When the coroner has completed their work and notified the next of kin, the identity may become public.

The 46-year-old pickup driver did not appear to be influenced by alcohol, said an Eagle Police spokesperson.
