WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including voluntary manslaughter, on Monday in the 2021 shooting death of a 32-year-old man in Winston-Salem.
According to the Forsyth County District Attorney's Office, officers responded to a home on West Academy Street on May 29, 2021, when they found 32-year-old Shaun Michael Goolsby suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Witnesses told police that Goolsby had been out at a club with two friends the night of the shooting. One of the friends said she was sitting with Goolsby in the home when she heard gunfire and realized he had been shot.
The DA's office says investigators learned from another woman that the house belonged to the other friend Goolsby went to the club with that night. The woman saw Goolsby enter the
