BAXTER STATE PARK, Maine (NEWS10)-- An Ulster Park hiker was found dead Tuesday on a trail in Maine, a day after officials reported the hiker and his daughter missing. According to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Tim Keiderling, 58, and his 28-year-old daughter, Esther Keiderling, were last seen around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, heading toward the summit of Katahdin Mountain.

According to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, rangers began searching for the two Monday after discovering their car was still in the day-use parking lot. Officials say a round-trip hike to the summit, usually, takes eight to 10 hours.
