EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A man was arrested and charged with dealing marijuana after a shooting investigation led to a traffic stop in Evansville.
Officers say they were in an area of South Linwood Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when they heard between six and nine gunshots.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, but police said a vehicle was damaged.
While police were investigating the incident, they say several vehicles began to leave the area.
Officers stopped one of the vehicles, and identified the driver as 20-year-old Darryl Fulgham.
EPD says Fulgham told officers he didn't have any firearms, but that a search revealed a handgun under his seat. A digital scale was also found in the center console of the vehicle.
