ROSS COUNTY, OH — A major boost is on the way for outdoor recreation and transportation in Ross County, thanks to a newly announced state grant. As part of a nearly $52 million investment in active transportation across Ohio, Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) have awarded $1,546,400 to the Ross County Park District for Phase 2 rehabilitation of the Paint Creek Recreational Trail (PCRT).
The project will repair and improve a 3.8-mile segment of the trail stretching from the Village of Frankfort through Concord and Union Townships , ending just past the Musselman Station Road cul-de-sac . The upgrade will enhance access, safety, and usability for walkers, cyclists, and other trail users along this key regional pathway.
