National Trails Day is this Saturday, June 7, and Palmetto Trail is celebrating with some big news.

The nonprofit is joining the American Hiking Society with an extra celebration of the newest House Resolution that proclaims June 2025 as South Carolina Trails Month . The organization will be hosting three regional guided hikes along the Palmetto Trail, and the annual Trail to Table dinner on the Peak to Prosperity Passage.

The resolution, adopted by the SC General Assembly, encourages residents to "take advantage of the abundance of trails in the state and enjoy the countless health, learning, and social benefits that can be derived from their use.” Palmetto Trail officials say they're grateful for the support of so many legislators across the state.
