DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan law enforcement is searching for an inmate who escaped from the Southeast Alabama Diversion Center.

According to Rickey Stokes News, those officers are in the area of Horace Shephard Road and Highway 231.

Officials have not identified the inmate.

Troy University's Dothan campus has been placed on lockdown, RSN says multiple reported people have seen the inmate.

Troy Dothan is less than two miles from the diversion center, on the other side of Montgomery Highway.
