Macy’s is taking its annual Fourth of July Fireworks celebration back to the East River.

Last year, Macy’s fireworks were set off on the Hudson River enabling viewers from Manhattan and New Jersey to get the best views. But this year, Macy’s will ignite the fireworks from the Brooklyn Bridge and from four surrounding barges in the East River in the Seaport District, giving those in Brooklyn and Manhattan the best viewing opportunities.

The last time Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks were set off in the East River was 2023. But the show, which always includes top singing performances, has moved from river to river depending on the year.
