SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Hundreds of voters cast their ballots ahead of the June 7 runoff election, voting on who should be the final member of the new San Angelo City Council administration as the day of the election draws near.
The runoff election is for the City Council's single-member district two councilmember seat, which is currently being sought by Dudra Butler and Joe Self after neither candidate garnered enough votes to secure the position during the May 3 election. Cumulative results published by Tom Green County state that during the May 3 election, Butler received 432 votes, or 33.7% of the total votes, while Self received 485 votes, or 37.83% of the total votes.
