EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A local chemistry teacher has received national recognition for her work.

Reitz High School Chemistry Teacher Nora Walsh has been named "Teacher of the Year" by the American Association of Chemistry Teachers (AACT).

The prestigious award recognizes educators who make outstanding contributions to chemistry education through their exceptional teaching and dedication.

EVSC says Mrs. Walsh teaches on-level, honors, and AP Chemistry and is also an AP Chemistry reader and mentor, associate editor for Chemical Education Xchange, and a two-time PAEMST Finalist for Indiana.
