A Suffolk Superior Court judge today sentenced Wilmary Mejia Matos, 18, to 10 to 14 years in state prison after she pleaded guilty to manslaughter for a double stabbing on Woodside Avenue in Jamaica Plain in 2023 that left one woman dead and a friend of Mejia Matos's boyfriend with serious injuries in a rage over a video of Mejia and her boyfriend having sex that showed up on a social media, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
According to the DA's office:
On February 11, 2023, Mejia Matos, then 16, learned that her boyfriend had videotaped them having sex and sent the video to the 17-year-old victim.
