DAVIDSONVILLE, Md. — Investigators are looking into suspicions that a burglary that occurred at Edward S. Koza Jr's Annapolis home on May 12 may be linked to his murder 12 days later in Davidsonville.
“The possible connection between the homicide and burglary is still being investigated,” A police spokesman said.
Koza's burned body was found in the back seat of his flaming pickup truck outside Koza's business on May 24. His hands were bound.
Police claim the truck had been intentionally set on fire.
Police have charged a teen couple, 18-year-old Jonah Poole and his girlfriend, Kylee Dakes, with murder and arson.
For the first time, Anne Arundel County Police are also confirming that Poole worked for Koza at the victim's aquatic garden business for a short time, as much as a year ago.
