GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - On Thursday afternoon, 25-year-old Jackson Vogel was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide in the August 2024 killing of another inmate. The charge came with a hate crime modifier.
Court records show that Vogel's homicide trial began on Monday, June 2, and ended on Wednesday, June 4, after a jury concluded the trial with a guilty verdict.
Vogel pleaded not guilty on October 15, 2024, to the killing of 19-year-old Micah Laureano, both inmates at the Green Bay Correction Institution (GBCI) at the time of the homicide.
