The driver in a crash along Interstate 25 near Mead that closed the roadway for 11 hours on May 29 appeared to be drowsy, according to a Colorado State Patrol crash report.
The report doesn’t specify whether the southbound driver was asleep or fatigued in the crash that happened at about 3:10 a.m. between exit 243 at Mead and southbound exit 250 at Berthoud.
The driver was cited for careless driving causing bodily injury, which is a misdemeanor traffic offense , according to state law.
