NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Neighbors near Percy Priest Lake are taking a stand after a property owner applied to turn their home into a short-term rental.
The house is located on Saxon Mist Drive in the Priest Lake Park neighborhood.
Neighbors received a letter over the weekend from the property owner, stating they had applied for a non-owner-occupied short-term rental permit.
This notification is required by Metro Nashville.
However, people like Michele Vetter don't want short-term rentals in their neighborhood.
She started a petition against the plan and is also organizing a community meeting for the end of the month.
Vetter told News 2 neighbors want to keep the calm nature of the neighborhood, and she worries a short-term rental property would disturb that quiet.
