BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — School’s out in Bismarck, and many parents are trying to keep their kids busy and learning. For families looking beyond traditional summer camps, one local option is putting science and problem-solving front and center.

Gateway to Science in Bismarck is offering weekly summer camps focused on STEM — science, technology, engineering, and math — for students entering grades 1-9.

Kids experiment with projects like extracting DNA, building hydraulic arms, launching rockets, and programming robotics.

Gateway to Science’s onsite education director, Alisha Kelim, said the camp schedule is designed to avoid repetition.
