SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Recent rainfall has caused Concho Valley reservoirs to fill up from runoff.

"This time of year, all these reservoirs are going down. We're using them in their evaporating," said Chuck Brown, CEO of Hydro Corporation. "So, for it to be the same that it was a month ago is great."

San Angelo is about an inch above average for this time of year, resulting from runoff. Though some of Central and West Texas are still experiencing drought, the increase in lake levels will benefit water usage throughout the summer.

"Our main water supply has actually come up about 2000 acre feet since a month ago," Brown said.

Brown also says that all three San Angelo reservoirs have seen a several-acre-feet increase with recent rainfall.
