State and federal officials recently announced sweeping fire restrictions throughout Western Arizona, and the county ratified its own restrictions on fireworks Monday. But those restrictions won’t apply to America’s birthday on unincorporated areas of the county.
The county applied its fire restrictions on May 23 under recommendation from the Mohave County Risk and Emergency Management Department; citing prolonged drought conditions, sustained winds and elevated wildfire risk factors. Those restrictions include a ban on open fires, campfires and the use of consumer fireworks in unincorporated areas of Mohave County. ×
