HASTINGS, Neb. — The Chief Ethanol Plant is implementing new and innovative ways to protect the environment both here in Hastings and in Lexington.

“Nebraska is ahead of the curb and here at Chief Hastings as you can see behind us, we’re well under way on the way to construction and then operation, so before too long you’re going to have some of the highest value ethanol in the world being produced right here in central Nebraska,” Steven Davidson, Tallgrass Energy VP of Government and Public Affairs, said.

In 2021, Nebraska was listed as the 26th highest state in carbon dioxide emission rates. Chief Industries said they have been looking to solve that problem for a while.
