RAWLINS -- The setting could not have been better for the Eloy Gonzales, Jr., Memorial Tournament. The sun was shining all weekend as the Rawlins Renegades got to share their ever-improving baseball diamond with six other teams.

The Renegades got four games out of the tournament, which they split 2-2. They opened with a 9-5 win over the Pinedale Drillers. The game only went three innings and the Drillers scored in every one. Entering the bottom of the third, the Drillers led 5-0 before giving up all nine runs in a single frame. Rawlins didn't have to do much from there, as the Pinedale pitchers signed their own death certificate by issuing 10 walks. Seven of the free bases came in the third inning, moving the Renegade runners base by base until they overtook the Drillers.
