LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A judge denied one of the suspects accused of Reba the Bulldog’s death a change of venue.
Wednesday, Isaac Laushal Jr. and Markeisha Foster appeared in court. Laushel’s lawyers filed a motion last week asking for a change of venue because of the media attention the case has gotten. His defense claims he can’t get a fair trial in Clark County.
However, Judge Michael Villani disagreed and declined.
Foster and Laushel will both stand trial on feloy animal abuse charges. A jury trial is scheduled for June 16.
Reba the Bulldog was left in a closed bin in a dumpster on an extremely hot day in July last year. Should would be rescued by passersby and immediately treated for injuries, but she did not survive from heat exhaustion.
