A man faces a charge of assault on a federal officer after his arrest in Lynn today as Homeland Security, FBI and DEA agents were trying to grab another man wanted by ICE for deportation.

In an affidavit filed in US District Court in Boston, an FBI agent said he and the others were forced to focus their attention on subduing Alejandro David Reyes Aguilar, 40, which meant the man they were after was able to run away.

Reyes Aguilar is scheduled for a hearing before a magistrate judge in US District Court in Boston tomorrow to determine whether he should be held pending trial or whether he can be released on bail, court records show.
