ATLANTA — A shooting in Atlanta's Pittsburgh neighborhood Tuesday night left one person dead, according to Atlanta Police.

Officers went to the 900 block of Dewey Street around 9:30 p.m. to respond to the scene. According to APD Homicide Commander Andrew Smith, the man who died was found lying in the street.

"The caller was the grandson of the shooter," Smith said.

Smith said the investigation is still underway and they will determine if charges will be made.

Smith said the apparent shooter and his grandson are being detained until police can interview them about what happened.
