LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Red Raiders fell 2-1 in the first game of the Women’s College World Series Championship versus Texas on Wednesday night at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
Texas Tech would find the bases quickly in the first inning, ultimately loading up the bases but the Longhorns hit a double play, and another out to keep things scoreless in the first inning.
Things would stay scoreless until the 5th inning, Logan Halleman would get thrown out at second caught stealing, but Gerry Glasco challenged it for obstruction and the call was reversed. Mihyia Davis would come up and do her job with the fly out to centerfield that drops and Halleman scores in the first run of the game, Texas Tech with the 1-0 lead.
