INDIANAPOLIS — "It's worth the wait, I'll tell you that much," said one Indiana Pacers fan.
Getting up and down Pennsylvania Street was almost impossible Wednesday afternoon as some drivers waited in traffic for hours, hoping to make it to the bridge south of Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They wanted to snag one of those coveted gear bags from the Pacers.
"It's great they're helping everybody out," said another fan. "Let's get pumped up, let's go!"
The team gave away 5,000 bags containing a t-shirt, poster, rally towel and sunglasses in celebration of the Pacers making their first appearance in the NBA Finals since 2000.
