SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The Girls Class AA Golf title is still sinking in for Aberdeen Central, as well as the best individual finisher, Olivia Braun.

The junior has been on a hot streak this year in competition, continuing from a very consistent year last year as well.

This is Braun’s first state title, coming in as last year’s runner-up. That consistency, she says, has paid off.

“The competitor I lost to last year isn’t here this year. But I think last year really taught me to take it one hole at a time. It’s okay to have bad shots, and really focus on the process, like I said,” Braun said.

Braun said she’ll have plenty to look forward to this summer, as her schedule is filled up with golf tournaments to compete in.
