COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - A Navasota man is facing charges after allegedly stealing several rare firearms from a College Station home and selling them through an auction.

The case stems from an investigation that began in April 2024, after the homeowners discovered a large amount of valuable property missing, including collectible coins, jewelry, and firearms.

Police say the theft occurred after Stephen Eric Brown, 37, was allowed to move into the home as he and his family were getting back on their feet.

Once Brown moved out, the couple began cleaning and noticed several items missing, including 42 firearms.
