SEATTLE — Forward Hilary Knight signed a one-year contract with Seattle's Professional Women's Hockey League expansion team.

Knight will play for PWHL Seattle for the 2025-26 season. It's the team's inaugural season .

The captain of Boston Fleet was left unprotected.

Seattle can sign up to five players until 5 p.m. on June 8, and will then fill out its remaining first 12 roster spots in the expansion draft. The draft takes place June 9.
