SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Six years after leading the Wall High School baseball team to the first state championship in program history, former Hawks head coach Jason Schniers and his players are pulling for the 2025 Hawks team to add another title.

The 2019 team defeated Blanco 2-1 in the UIL Class 3A state title, back when there was only one champion in each classification.

The Hawks were a very determined team that season, after coming up short against Central Heights 10-0 in the 2017 state-title game.

That's eerily similar to what Wall is trying to do in 2025. The Hawks lost to Boyd in the state championship in 2023, and now two years later Wall is in the fourth state-title game in program history and looking for a second state crown.
