Wednesday night update: Moisture is increasing from the Atlantic, and we have an upper-level disturbance lifting northward from the Gulf. That means scattered showers continue overnight. If you're closer to the coast, you could see some heavier downpours. However, the overall rain totals may not be as significant as earlier expected.
Rain chances stick around through the morning, especially in our eastern areas. The upper-level low that's been driving the moisture will begin to weaken and drift northeast during the day. That means rain coverage should begin to taper off by the afternoon, giving way to more breaks in the clouds. Temperatures will still run below average, likely topping out in the low to mid-80s. Overnight lows dip into the mid-60s with drier air briefly returning.
